Bio

Glenn is a nationally Certified Peer Support Specialist and a certified Peer Support Specialist in the state of South Carolina. Glenn started using drugs at the age of 13 and was on his own at 15. He experienced the pain, heartbreak and dangers associated with serious substance use disorder. Over the years it progressed and became unmanageable.

In 1997, he became sick of it all and checked into the Add Life Addictions Treatment Center at Marshall Pickens Hospital. Upon completion of the 28-day residential program, he began his long-term journey to recovery in the Narcotics Anonymous program. He has since served the Upper South Carolina Area of Narcotics Anonymous Service Committee as a Group Service Representative, Area Service Representative, Area Chair, Area Vice Chair, and Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee Chair. He also enjoyed a career as an Industrial Electrician, Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, and Electrical Engineer. He retired at the age of 63 due to an injury and became certified, nationally, as a Peer Support Specialist. He has worked for YouTurn Health and presently works for BuildWell Health as a Recovery Coach and Peer Support Specialist.

Glenn is the author of Requiem for an Addict, a crime thriller.

Glenn and his wife Dee live in the Carolina mountains. Glenn enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, writing fiction, and helping addicts find their way to recovery.
